Council has a vast number of facilities available to both staff and members of the community. The role of the Property Compliance Officer is to ensure that these facilities and staff within the Property Division are meeting all compliance requirements. We take pride in ensuring our facilitates are complaint with the relevant legislation – that’s where your monitoring and compliance servicing programmes come in!
We’re looking for a person with a high degree of initiative, analytical skills and highly developed critical thinking and strategic problem-solving skills. A tertiary qualification in Compliance, Facilities Management or a similar discipline is also essential.
To succeed in this role, you’ll be able to work autonomously with minimal supervision. You should also be able to work to timeframes and/or under pressure as it’s important we keep on top of our compliance programmes. You’ll also have a good working knowledge of the Local Government Act and associated legislation relating to public works.
