Funding Specialist & Relationship Manager

Are you a highly-motivated individual that has what it takes to get community projects off the ground?

We are looking for an experienced Funding Specialist & Relationship Manager who has a passion for building and developing relationships with funders and key stakeholders to help ensure projects that benefit our community become a reality.

In this role, you’ll need to put your strong fundraising skills and proven experience to good use as you seek out and secure new opportunities for funding. You’ll have a well-established professional network, with both public and private funders and sponsors, and have expert knowledge of national and regional funding sources and requirements. You’ll be warm and engaging and able to use your excellent relationship skills to manage strategic partnerships and maintain long-lasting quality relationships. You’ll be an excellent communicator, able to quickly build rapport and trust with stakeholders.

We are seeking someone who will provide leadership, support and advice on appropriate external funding opportunities and initiate and coordinate funding applications. You’ll be willing to go the extra mile and be able to think outside the box to ensure that no opportunities for funding are missed. You will be self-driven, able to prioritise and work under pressure, all while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

You’ll have a determined, can-do attitude, and won’t get disheartened when you encounter set-backs.

Drug and Alcohol Testing

As part of the Council's Management Team Drug and Alcohol Policy, to ensure the safety of those who come into contact with Council, applicants for employment in safety sensitive positions must undergo a drug test before being employed.
