Senior Service Guide - Fixed Term

As a Senior Service Guide you will predominantly be the face of our Community Living Rooms and Central Library. You will enjoy working with people from all works of life in exploring information in all its various forms and genres. You’ll take personal satisfaction from delivering a warm, welcoming, and professional service to those who visit either in person or over the phone. You will take an active interest in what is happening in the community, and endeavour to connect people and groups with relevant content, programmes, events, and services.

To be successful in this role you would ideally have a relevant tertiary qualification and an understanding of library services and systems. Your previous experience in a customer-centric environment and understanding of the needs of a very diverse community will be invaluable, along with your ability to troubleshoot technology.

This role will provider cover for staff absences at any of the Library’s locations. It is a fixed term role, for approximately eight months, and the hours of work are 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Some flexibility outside the usual days and hours of work will be required, on an as required basis, to assist with supporting programmes and events.

Drug and Alcohol Testing
