Palmerston North City Council is looking for a part-time Project Manager to assist in the delivery of the Water and Waste capital and renewal works programmes for 2017-18 and beyond.
In this role, you’ll be using your professional expertise and experience to support the four Activity Managers to deliver a range of projects in the Water and Waste Division. With a wide range of projects on the go you’ll have plenty of variety – no two days being the same. We are seeking applications from those who can help us finalise scopes, develop tender and procurement documents and engage internal and external resources to manage implementation and construction of current capital and renewal projects. Ideally you’ll hold a tertiary qualification in engineering, project management, planning or similar. You’ll have a proven ability to manage budgets, work programmes and professional services contracts. The ability to work to tight deadlines and ensure that deliverables and project outcomes are achieved is a must!
Your strong written and verbal communication skills, complimented by your ability to use Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project will be invaluable in this role, as the team works closely together in managing the water and waste asset for the city.
